Welcome to PsychWiki!

Articles: We currently have [ 366] articles that anyone can edit. We use the MediaWiki software developed for Wikipedia which is designed to make it easy to edit pages. Learn how to edit pages here, or try it yourself right now by going to our practice page. Just click on the "edit" tab, type in what you want, and click "Save page". Its that easy!

Discussion: Each Article has an accompanying "Discussion" page which provides a forum for comments and questions about each Article as well as an opportunity for communication or exchanges between users. Look at the top of this Article page and you will see the "Discussion" tab. A red link means nothing has been added yet, and a blue link means it has been edited.

Login: Anyone can view the Article pages and Discussion pages even if not logged-in. If you do login, you will see new links at the top of the Article page (i.e., move, watch) and new links at the top of the webpage (i.e., "your username", my talk, preferences, my watchlist, my contributions). These links provide you additional benefits and functionality including the ability to edit pages, communicate with other users anonymously, and be notified of changes to the pages. Learn more about them here.

How to Login: You can login by clicking the "create an account or log in" link on the top right-hand corner of the webpage. Your email address is not required, but storing an email address enables people to contact you through the website without you having to reveal your email address to them, and it can be used to send you a new password if you forget it.

Content Areas: We have organized the articles around four major topics - Professional Development, Research Tools, Psychology Concepts, Share Your Research. Can you think of more topics or pages to add? You can add a new topic here, or a new page here, or contact us and we can do it for you.

So that is the basics behind PsychWiki. If you have any questions or comments, please contact us. And if you want more detailed information, see the help page.
